A lot of progress was made in April, the courtyards surrounding the maze were installed along with several tree and shrub additions. Among these was a 15 foot Pin Oak donated for the First Responder Memorial Garden. Our thanks to Tim Dickey for assisting with obtaining and planting this tree. On April 17th we celebrated our ground breaking ceremony with the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce and others in the community. On April 28th the Leadership Lawrence County group spent the day developing the Breast Cancer Awareness Garden, planting shrubs, roses, a large ribbon of begonias and vinca and building out a sitting area for a bench.
Our focus will soon be on developing pathways, constructing berms, and building a service road and a parking area. We greatly appreciate your support as we continue moving forward with the project.
