The garden will open daily at 9am for those who prefer visiting during the daylight hours. Garden access will be limited to the Christmas tree path during the event. During the hours of 5pm to 8pm enjoy a nighttime stroll along a quarter-mile path of lighted and decorated Christmas trees and holiday music.  Visit our webpage for more information.

A-MAZE-ing Halloween Event

Join us October 28th through 31st, from 5pm to 8pm for our Halloween Maze at the Garden. We will provide a safe, kid-friendly environment for all to enjoy.  Kids will collect candy as they wander in the maze meeting unique characters along the way.  After dark, collecting candy will be replaced with special sound effects as things become a little more spooky with costumed characters creeping around the grounds.  Flashlights will be provided for everyone’s safety.

Admission will be $2 per person. (free to members)

Spring 2022 Update

Spring has arrived and so has the grand opening of Hope Botanical Garden.  After a five year journey of developing the garden we are pleased to announce a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on April 22, 2022.  We are celebrating our opening in conjunction with Earth Day.

Although we have reached this long awaited milestone some major construction projects will be underway for the forseeable future. Despite a record drought, unprecendented rainfall with flooding and the Covid 19 pandemic, our garden staff did not lessen their determination to meet the opening deadline.  We wish to extend to everyone an invitation to come and be a part of our grand opening.  Guided tours will be provided by expert staff for much of the day to answer any questions.

October 2021 Update

We’re thrilled to share that we received a $5000 local operating grant from USA TODAY NETWORK’s A Community Thrives initiative!  A Community Thrives, which is part of the Gannett Foundation, supports non-profit organizations like ours with projects focused on community building.  This grant will go to support the construction of a visitor center and restroom facility.  This grant combined with the challenge campaign brings us to a total of $12000 for the project. We are optimistic the facility will be operational by opening date next April.

This summer has been a gardener’s dream with more than ample rain during the entire growing season.  The Garden is flourishing with only a few exceptions of too much water.  We are currently constructing a perennial garden, refreshing existing flower beds and identifying new areas for planting .  Feel free to visit the garden and mark your calendar for our official opening scheduled for April 22nd of next year.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Garden Update - February 2021

Construction of new features in the garden have continued through the winter season.  The most recent additions include a Koi pond in the water garden that flows through a stream through smaller reflecting pools located in the Japanese garden.  An arch bridge across the stream connects the path from the maze garden.  A wishing well and a large butterfly garden located in the children’s garden is nearing completion.  Columns, planters and stone features have also been installed within the garden.

There is still a lot to be done before the garden opens to the public in 2022, including the construction of a visitors center with restrooms. Volunteers are always welcome and we will be posting new workdays here soon. Your donations are essential to completing this ambitious schedule before we open next Spring. If you would like to make a donation you may do so from our website here.

Garden Update - August 2020

Our past 3 months have been very productive with the installation of new planting beds, hardscape construction throughout the garden and overall improvements to the site.  The photos show some of the work that has been underway in the last few weeks. We do appreciate visitors who come daily to see the progress. We are quickly approaching our opening date in 2022 with approximately one-third of the work completed.  As a 501(c3) public supported organization, our ability to move forward is dependent on your donations. This year has been extremely difficult due in part to the pandemic. All support is deeply appreciated.
