February Update

February has proven to be one of the wettest on record but at least the temperatures have moderated.  We have on site 1000 emerald green arborvitae seedlings for the maze garden and some additional trees and shrubs for planting.

Our tribute store now allows one to view the available tree list complete with pictures and description. As these trees are donated they will be removed from the list.  We have also added a list of the preferred trees that will be planted in the garden (linked here) to the menu on the right.  This list may change over time.

Our planting schedule will be posted as soon as the weather permits for anyone wishing to help. Volunteers who have contacted us will be notified personally.  Those interested in volunteering can contact us by email. We want to say thank you to those who have donated in the past few weeks and to those who will be donating in the coming days.  Now is a very critical time to have funding to ensure the garden stays on schedule.

We will have a ground breaking ceremony on April 17th.  Our thanks to the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce for organizing this event.  Additional details will be posted in our March update.

The photo below is of our temporary sign which will be placed near the main driveway in the next week, weather permitting.
